• Research project CAVISIKI aims to reduce workload and increase efficiency in processing alarms in control and command centers
  • Target groups: In addition to operators of alarm receiving and service centers, also authorities and companies with critical infrastructure
  • CAVISIKI research project is funded by the German government (BMWK)

Diepholz, 16. April 2026: Alarm processing command and centers (aka ARCs) are increasingly facing complex challenges: growing system diversity, high false alarm rates, and increasing pressure on personnel and costs. artec technologies AG and VOMATEC Innovations GmbH will address these challenges with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI). To this end, they have jointly launched the Governmental research and development project CAVISIKI. As key innovation, multifaceted security systems will be integrated into a central, manufacturer-independent and agnostic platform and analyzed in real time using AI. The project is funded under the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and will be awarded a six-figure Euro grant.

Aim of the project is a multi-client platform that integrates video surveillance, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security-related systems into a unified user interface. By using AI, incoming alarms are automatically evaluated and false alarms are significantly reduced. The platform will be available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) as well as in hybrid and on-premise operating models. It is primarily aimed at operators of alarm receiving and service centers, authorities, and companies with critical infrastructure—initially in German-speaking countries and, in the future, internationally.

“We see CAVISIKI as an important step toward the next generation of control centers. The platform is designed to purposefully evolve existing control center and PSIM solutions through AI and new integration approaches. Our goal is to provide tangible support to users while reducing complexity behind the scenes,” explains Dr. Stephan Heuer, one of the Managing Directors of VOMATEC Innovations GmbH.

“With CAVISIKI, we are fundamentally modernizing existing control centers and elevating them to a new level of efficiency and innovation. By leveraging state-of-the-art technologies, including AI, we can significantly improve the quality of alarm assessment while noticeably reducing the workload in control centers,” adds Thomas Hoffmann, Member of the Management Board of artec technologies AG. Within CAVISIKI, VOMATEC and artec are pursuing a technologically innovative approach: through manufacturerindependent, generic interfaces, previously fragmented systems are unified. At the same time, AI-supported methods verify incoming alarms in real time and significantly reduce false alarms. This is complemented by intelligent, multiscalable visualization and an intuitive user interface with integrated assistance functions.

The multi-tenant platform architecture enables flexible operating models ranging from cloud to hybrid to on-premise and supports both centralized control and decentralized use. A middleware layer for the semantic integration of heterogeneous data sources also provides the foundation for advanced AI analyses, including the use of large language models. Overall, this creates a universally applicable, intelligent platform for modern control centers, with the potential to set new standards in the integration of video and security technology in the DACH-region and beyond.
